Seaquist and Alcan Team Up to Launch Precision Closure

Seaquist Closures, in cooperation with Alcan Beauty Packaging, has combined beauty and science, aesthetics and functionality, with Pinpoint, a new dispensing closure. Seaquist’s Pinpoint closure uses a silicone valve system that delivers controlled dispensing and precise cutoff. The soft touch and feel of the silicone valve creates a unique and luxurious application experience. Closure features include: a diameter of .750-in.; material: polypropylene; valve material: silicone. Alcan tube features include: a tube diameter of .750-in. (.875-in. and 1-in. to follow); UV gloss or satin coatings; fill capacity of 10ml to 22ml (.33-oz. – .75-oz.); and sleeve offset printing up to six colors.
  
Dr. Scheller selected Alcan’s 19mm breakthrough tube and Seaquist’s Pinpoint closure for the relaunch of its antibacterial skin care range. CCL Upgrades Eco-Friendly Tube

CCL Tube, a division of CCL Industries, has upgraded its post-consumer resin (PCR) tube, increasing the amount of post-consumer resin used in the sleeve and commercializing the use of post-consumer resin in the head of the tube—an industry first, according to CCL. CCL can load up to 60% post-consumer resin into the tube head and 70% in the tube sleeve. TricorBraun Resurrects Line

TricorBraun recently helped to reintroduce Salon Selectives—a former Helene Curtis, Inc. brand popular in the 1980s and 1990s, but withdrawn in 2004 due to lagging sales—by using modernized packaging containing updated formulas and new products. TricorBraun provided an 8-oz., high-density polyethylene Elegante bottle with an extender pump for a root-lifting spray. The hair freshener is mounted on a blister card and sold in a 1.7-oz. PET G bottle with a spray pump. Also in 1.7-oz. PET G bottles are the split-end mender and smoothing serum. Lumson Launches INDY Line

Designed and manufactured by Lumson, Collezione INDY reveals Lumson’s “One Body Design” concept, in which the containers and the accessories were designed as one object, with the shape of one following the shape of the other, becoming a single object of design. The line is available in two plastic materials: PE with soft-touch effect or PET. The glass bottles and the jar offer a solution for skin care products.
